Efficiency NS: Affordable Housing
Rebates are available to landlords that offer affordable housing through Efficiency Nova Scotia. This program provides landlords with rebates that are up to 80% of the pre-tax cost of installation. Rebates are available on heat pumps and water heaters. Conditions apply. Please contact CCH to see if you qualify.
OHPA
Oil to Heat Pump Affordability Program (OHPA) is a federal government program (NRCan) which offers, qualifying primary resident home owners who currently heat their house with oil, rebates for the installation of heat pumps and associated upgrades (eg. electric panel, water heater, and baseboards). In addition, it also offers home owners will rebates for the removal of the old oil tanks and boilers. However, removal of the old oil tank and boiler is no longer a requirement under this program.
Efficiency NS
There are a number of Efficiency NS programs that are available to eligible primary resident home owners. One of the most popular programs is the Moderate Income Rebate program which offer qualifying home owners with rebates on air-source heat pumps.
